BOOK BAGS & HOMEWORK During each week your child will bring home a variety of books . These will include books that they have read, need to practi s e, or their own choice from the school library. If you have any comments , these can be jotted down in the reading log kept in your child's book bag. At times we will give them other activities, which may require your support.

SNACKS Your child will be provided with a free fruit snack to eat during the morning break. They are encouraged to bring water in a suitable container with their name on it. Plastic water bottles can be purchased from the school office for £1.

CLOTHING and UNIFORM
Please remember to label all items of clothing, especially sweatshirts and PE kit, with your child's name. Clothing does get mislaid from time to time . Lost Property is located next to the school office.
Saltash Sports in Fore Street is the supplier of our school fleeces, sweatshirts and polo shirts.
PE
Please ensure that your child has PE kit in school at all times

END OF THE SCHOOL DAY
Please let us know in advance, either by telling the class teacher or school office, if you have arranged for your child to be collected by somebody different.
MEDICINES IN SCHOOL
From time to time , it is necessary for children to take prescribed medicines during the school day. When this happens please speak to one of the secretaries in the reception area. They will ask you to fill in a short form giving details of the medication and when it is to be taken. We can only agree to administer medicines prescribed by a doctor.
ASTHMA
Brunel is an ‘Asthma Aware' school. It is our policy that children with asthma should have full and immediate access to their reliever inhaler at all times , E very effort is made to support them and to promote awareness of their needs throughout the whole school. T he school keeps a register of children in the school with asthma, as well as an asthma emergency kit.
AND FINALLY........
Do remember that if you have any concerns at all then your child's teacher will be happy to discuss them with you at the end of the day or at a pre-arranged appointment.
